Atlantis produces intermediate taxane ingredients, paclitaxel and
10-deacetylbaccatin III (10-DAB), for subsequent formulation and synthetic modification by biopharmaceutical companies and developers of cancer treatments. We combine extensive commercial-scale manufacturing expertise with proprietary process technologies to deliver quality ingredients to the standards of the pharmaceutical industry.
Ground hemlock (Taxus canadensis) is a small, relatively slow growing evergreen shrub which grows abundantly in the pristine woodlands of Eastern Canada. Newer foliage of needles and green stems are collected for the extraction of paclitaxel, a compound used to treat various cancers.

Located in the center of the high-yielding Taxus canadensis biomass resource, Atlantis employs commercial-scale manufacturing expertise to extract and purify pharmaceutical-grade taxanes. Taxanes derived from Taxus canadensis originate from sustainably managed sources with stringent regulatory practices ensuring that all Taxus biomass is inspected, responsible harvest guidelines have been followed and raw material is traceable from place of origin through to finished product. Our close proximity to secured biomass, strong technical and R&D support enable a dependable steady flow of high-purity ingredients to pharmaceutical manufacturers.
